A truly moo-ving story!

For months, I have used the phrase "your cow is mooing," whenever I hear M & M's cell phones buzzing to recognize an incoming text message. I think they thought I was being a little eccentric with my explanation. Maggie told us that while she was on the pioneer trek last week, it finally made sense to her. They were pushing their handcarts through an area where cattle were grazing. She said the first time she she heard one of the cows moo, she turned around and looked to see who had their cell phone in their pocket (they were contraband items for the trek). Then it dawned on her--that really was a cow mooing! We all had a good laugh together when she reported that to us Saturday evening.

One of hundreds . . . Poole Piggyback Reunions

I have had at least a hundred blog posts go through my head in the last several months. Now that the three back-to-back reunions, the pioneer trek, and the Monstrous Muckout are mostly finished, I'll try to get my blogging head "back in the game." Here are some pictures taken at our Poole reunions last week.

Jones family at the Acquarium

Some folks took a walk around Silver Lake.

Yes, there was still snow up there!

Always plenty of great food when this crew gets together!

Baby P. acted like he remembered me the first time I got to hold him--and that made my day!

It doesn't take long to get good at Popsicles--and they were a great treat on a hot summer day!

Of course, little boys make a pretty great treat, too--and they don't mind being eaten.

Engaged in conversation with Baby P.

He's cruisin'!!

The kids were so high it was hard to pin them down for a snapshot!

Jonathan and N. just relaxing!

After grub time comes gab time--my favorite part!

Uncle Bryce trying to intimidate little P.

Little P.--apparently he knows that game--and wasn't at all intimidated!

Little A. showing who's boss!

We brought our own wildlife along when we went to the zoo!

Even some cute gopher-like creatures!

For sure, we didn't bring the hissing cockroach with us . . .

I think Phoenix people appreciate green grass the most . . .

Little I. getting his big gulp . . .

Root beer floats at the park--yum!!

Big slides make big smiles . . .

Every time!

I wonder if he's aboard a spacecraft traveling at warp speed?

Babies rule--and were so entertaining . . .

Grandpa and our A.

I. is fearless like his Daddy . . .
